Bonnie Mitchell
Bonnie, Q College's instructor of InDesign and Illustrator, discovered her love of drawing at the tender age of 8. While other children hosted elaborate tea parties for their stuffed animals, Bonnie spent many happy hours in her room, honing her drawing skills and occasionally surfacing for food or a bike ride. As she grew older, her skills took her in the direction of graphic design, where she experienced painting for the first time. Currently, her love for drawing has been suspended in favour of her love of painting, but no matter her medium du jour, she will always believe that a sense of humour is essential in design.
Bonnie spent many years working in the print industry, doing graphic design and troubleshooting files for print. She recently outgrew/got tired of the print industry and decided to take her design to a new medium—the web. As a believer in keeping the creative mind fresh by balancing work and play, Bonnie loves to paint and be physically active in her spare time.
